Ask DR U: Helping My Team Score »

Dave asks, I am in a scoring only league, where the only points come from scoring TDs, FGs, extra points. No points are given for yardage or defense. I was on vacation out of state when the live draft party was held and the "friends" who picked for me loaded me up with running backs before they even thought about WRs or QBs. I can start up to three RBs in this TD only league. Which three RBs should I start in Week 1?

DeShaun Foster  Vs Atlanta
Rudi Johnson  Vs  Kansas City
Cadillac Williams  Vs Baltimore
LaMont Jordan Vs San Diego
Kevin Jones Vs Seattle

DR U: Rudi Johnson and LaMont Jordan are must-starts in Week 1. The final spot is a toss up between Cadillac Williams and Kevin Jones. Both teams are at home facing pretty solid defenses. I would suggest using the Cadillac to give your team a jump start. Therefore, I am recommending Johnson, Jordan, and Williams to be your starters for opening week.

Chris asks, What grade would you give my fantasy team?

QB Carson Palmer
RB LaDainianTomlinson
RB Willie Parker
WR Steve Smith
WR Reggie Wayne
TE Randy McMichael
RB/WR Chester Taylor
K Neil Rackers
Defense Denver

Bench:
WR Derrick Mason
QB Jake Plummer
WR Muhsin Muhammad
WR Javon Walker
WR Isaac Bruce
WR Mike Anderson

DR U: This is an easy evaluation.  Your team is stacked.  I appreciate you asking for my opinion, but you do not need my help. Please refer the rest of your league to come seek my guidance, because how they let you draft a dream team like that is mind boggling.  To answer your question, I would rate your team an A.

Kyle asks, I would love to hear your analysis off my team. I had the 12th pick in a 12 person draft -  we start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 LB, 1 DL, 1 DB (As you can tell, it is an IDP league). Do you think I should go after someone like Correll Buckhalter?

My team:

QB Jake Delhomme CAR
QB Steve McNair  BAL
RB Willis McGahee BUF
RB Brian Westbrook PHI
RB Chester Taylor   MIN
RB Vernand Morency HOU
WR Santana Moss WAS
WR Randy Moss OAK
WR Matt Jones JAX
WR Joe Jurevicius CLE
TE Randy McMichael MIA
TE Jeb Putzier HOU
K David Akers PHI
DL John Abraham ATL
DL Jevon Kearse PHI
LB Ray Lewis BAL
DB Chris Hope TEN
DB Terrence Kiel SD

DR U: Your team reminds of the New England Patriots.  Yeah, you have a couple big names in Randy Moss and Ray Lewis, but the most part your team is compiled of guys that just get the job done. Delhomme is a reliable second tier quarterback, and McNair is a viable option as a No.2 Quarterback. I expect McGahee to have a huge season, and the rest of your running backs are respectable options.

There is a debate now as to which Moss is the better receiver, but it doesn’t matter in your case, because you have them both. You probably won’t have to play Jones or Jurevicius very often, but when you do have them in your lineup, they are both terrific red zone options. McMichael should have a pro bowl season with Daunte Culpepper as his quarterback.  Your linebackers and defensive backs are solid. Kiel is a nice pick, especially if Ed Reed, Roy Williams, and Bob Sanders were already taken.

As far as picking up Correll Buckhalter, I would have to strongly advise you to stay clear of him.  He is too injury-prone, but if you are looking for a sleeper at running back, I would suggest taking a flier on Jerious Norwood of the Atlanta Falcons.  I would rate your team as a B.
