Fantasy Outlook:

Why you should draft Chad Pennington: Pennington is expected to be the starting quarterback for the Dolphins when the season begins.  In 2003 and 2006, he was able to eclipse 3000 passing yards while averaging more than 20 total touchdowns in those seasons. 

Why you may want to stay away from drafting Chad Pennington:  In his eight year career, Pennington has only been able to play an entire season once.  Last season, he appeared in just nine games, and in three of those contests, he threw for multiple interceptions.   In addition, he failed to muster a single 300 yard passing game in 2007. 

Bottom Line: Pennington will always been known as a quarterback that lacks a strong arm, and he has difficulties remaining healthy.  Therefore, he should be viewed as a fantasy reserve until he proves otherwise.
