2008 Fantasy Football Player Profile-Kevin Jones

RB Kevin Jones, Chicago Bears

2007 Stats: 581 rushing yards, 199 receiving yards, 8 total TDs
Projected 2008 Stats: 725 rushing yards, 307 receiving yards, 7 total TDs
Projected Fantasy Round: 9th Round
Running backs to be picked ahead of Kevin Jones: LaDainian Tomlinson, Adrian Peterson, Joseph Addai, etc.

Fantasy Outlook:

Why you should draft Kevin Jones: Jones had an injury plagued 2007 season.  However, the three games that he was given more than 20 carries, he averaged 96 rushing yards and nearly two touchdowns.  Jones should get a chance to see significant touches in Chicago with the departure of Cedric Benson.

Why you may want to stay away from drafting Kevin Jones: Jones has yet to be able to play in more than 13 games in any single season in his four year career.  Last season, Jones was held under 30 rushing yards in six games, and he was held scoreless in another six contests.

Bottom Line: There is no question that Jones possesses a lot of talent and can rack up big numbers when he is healthy.  However, since he has unable to remain in the lineup, he should be viewed as fantasy reserve player until he shows signs of durability.
