2008 Fantasy Football Player Profile-Reggie Bush

RB Reggie Bush, New Orleans Saints

2007 Stats: 581 rushing yards, 417 receiving yards, 6 total TDs
Projected 2008 Stats: 621 rushing yards, 755 receiving yards, 10 total TDs
Projected Fantasy Round: 2nd Round
Running backs to be picked ahead of Reggie Bush: LaDainian Tomlinson, Adrian Peterson, Joseph Addai, etc.

Fantasy Outlook:

Why you should draft Reggie Bush: Bush is a multi-dimensional back that is capable of racking up a respectable chunk of rushing yards and receiving yards.  In his two year career, Bush has averaged 156 carries and over 80 receptions per season.  In 2007, Bush had at least three receptions in every game that he played.

Why you may want to stay away from drafting Reggie Bush: Last season, Bush did not reach triple figures in rushing yards in any of his games.  He was also held scoreless in eight contests (out of 12). In addition, Bush missed the last four games of 2007 with a knee injury, which could make him a candidate for future durability issues.

Bottom Line: Bush appeals to several fantasy owners with his ability to put up numerous all-purpose yards.  However, since Bush has lacked the rushing yards and the total touchdowns of an upper echelon fantasy back, he should be viewed as a lower tier, No. 1 running back in fantasy until he proves otherwise.
