2008 Fantasy Football Player Profile-Reggie Williams

WR Reggie Williams, Jacksonville Jaguars

2007 Stats: 38 receptions, 629 receiving yards, 10 TDs
Projected 2008 Stats: 58 receptions, 802 receiving yards, 9 TDs
Projected Fantasy Round: 8th Round
Wide Receivers to be picked ahead of Reggie Williams: Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, Reggie Wayne, etc.

Fantasy Outlook:

Why you should draft Reggie Williams: Last season, Williams hauled in a touchdown in six out of his final seven contests, and he was only held scoreless in five games (out of 15). In addition, Williams has raised his receiving yards every year he has been in the NFL, and he has only missed one game in his four year career.

Why you may want to stay away from drafting Reggie Williams: Williams has never had more than 52 receptions or 629 receiving yards in any season.  Last season, Williams was limited to just two receptions or less in nine games, and he was held under 60 receiving yards in an eye-popping 11 contests.

Bottom Line:  Williams had a solid 2007 campaign with a career best ten touchdowns. However, since he doesn’t fill up the stat sheet in receptions, nor in receiving yards, he should be viewed as a No.3 wideout, teetering on being a No.2 fantasy receiver.
