QB Dononvan McNabb, Philadelphia Eagles
2007 Stats: 3324 passing yards, 19 total TDs, 7 INTs
Projected 2008 Stats: 3310 passing yards, 22 total TDs, 10 INTs
Projected Fantasy Round: 5th Round
Quarterbacks to be picked ahead of Donovan McNabb: Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Tony Romo, etc.
Fantasy Outlook:
Why you should draft Donovan McNabb: McNabb had a terrific ending to his 2007 season as he averaged 304 passing yards and two touchdowns in his final two games. McNabb has had five seasons with at least 3200 passing yards, and he hasn’t thrown fewer than 16 touchdown passes since his rookie campaign.
Why you may want to stay away from drafting Donovan McNabb: McNabb has not played an entire season since 2003. In fact, he has missed 15 games over the last three years. Last season, McNabb had three games (out of 14) where he failed to throw a single touchdown pass.
Bottom Line: McNabb can typically be penciled in for 3200 passing yards and 18 touchdown passes. Therefore, he should be viewed as a risky, lower tier No. 1 quarterback in fantasy.
