2008 Fantasy Football Player Profile-Dwayne Bowe

WR Dwayne Bowe, Kansas City Chiefs

2007 Stats: 70 receptions, 995 receiving yards, 5 TDs
Projected 2008 Stats: 81 receptions, 1133 receiving yards, 8 TDs
Projected Fantasy Round: 5th Round
Wide Receivers to be picked ahead of Dwayne Bowe: Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, Reggie Wayne, etc.

Fantasy Outlook:

Why you should draft Dwayne Bowe: In his rookie campaign, Bowe had seven games where he had at least five receptions, and twice he was able to eclipse triple figures in receiving yards.  He also began his career with three scores in just four weeks, which shows that he was ready to be a receiver in the NFL.

Why you may want to stay away from drafting Dwayne Bowe: Kansas City have all kinds of question marks at quarterback, which does not figure to bode well for Bowe and the other Chiefs’ receivers.  Furthermore, Bowe had five games where he was limited to three receptions or less, and he failed to score a touchdown in 11 games in 2007.

Bottom Line: Bowe has the talent to be a No.1 wide receiver, but since he doesn’t have a reliable quarterback to get him the ball, he should be viewed as a solid No.2 wideout in fantasy.
