RB Marshawn Lynch, Buffalo Bills
2007 Stats: 1115 rushing yards, 184 receiving yards, 7 total TDs
Projected 2008 Stats: 1344 rushing yards, 255 receiving yards, 13 total TDs
Projected Fantasy Round: 1st round
Running backs to be picked ahead of Marshawn Lynch: LaDainian Tomlinson, Adrian Peterson, Joseph Addai, etc.
Fantasy Outlook:
Why you should you draft Marshawn Lynch: Lynch gained over 1100 yards on the ground in just 13 games in his rookie campaign. He also rushed for at least 60 yards in every game that he played, and he had over 100 rushing yards in three of his final six contests.
Why you may want to stay away from drafting Marshawn Lynch: Lynch was injured and missed a few games as a rookie in 2007. He was also held without a touchdown in six games (out of 13). In addition, Lynch was not very productive as a receiver only contributing a little over one catch and 14 receiving yards per game.
Bottom Line: Lynch can certainly rack up the rushing yards, but his lack of production in the receiving game, makes him more of a lower tier No.1 running back in fantasy.
