2008 Fantasy Football Player Profile-Vincent Jackson

WR Vincent Jackson, San Diego Chargers

2007 Stats: 41 receptions, 623 receiving yards, 3 TDs
Projected 2008 Stats: 68 receptions, 988 receiving yards, 6 TDs
Projected Fantasy Round: 7th round
Wide Receivers to be picked ahead of Vincent Jackson: Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, Reggie Wayne, etc.

Fantasy Outlook:

Why you should draft Vincent Jackson: In 2007, Jackson put up pedestrian numbers in the regular season, but in the post season he averaged six receptions and 100 receiving yards.  He also had two touchdowns in the post season.  If Jackson can carry that momentum into the 2008 season, he could put up some big fantasy statistics.

Why you may to stay away from drafting Vincent Jackson: Last season, Jackson never hit triple figures in receiving yards during the regular season, and he had 13 games where he was held scoreless.  Furthermore, Jackson was limited to two receptions or less in eight games.

Bottom Line: Jackson is talented enough to be a No.1 fantasy wideout, but he has yet to live up to his full potential.  Therefore, he should be viewed as more of a No.3, teetering on being a No.2 fantasy receiver.
