2008 NFL Free Agents-D.J. Hackett
WR D.J. Hackett, Carolina Panthers
How D.J. Hackett will help the Carolina Panthers: Hackett is being brought into Carolina to be the No.2 wide receiver, which means his job is to try and prevent opposing defenses from double covering Steve Smith on every passing down. Hackett is a big target and is a nice complement to the speedy Smith.
Hackett has yet to be able to play an entire season in his three year career. In 2006, Hackett was able to play 14 games, and he finished the year with 610 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
Fantasy Outlook: If Hackett can stay healthy in 2008, he should be able to rack up at least 800 receiving yards and five touchdowns.
