2009 Fantasy Football Player Profile-Brady Quinn

QB Brady Quinn, Cleveland Browns

2008 Stats: 518 passing yards, 2 total TDs, 2 INTs
Projected 2009 Stats: 2998 passing yards, 16 total TDs,  21 INTs
Projected Fantasy Round: 12th Round
Quarterbacks to be picked ahead of Brady Quinn: Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Drew Brees

Fantasy Outlook:

Why you should draft Brady Quinn: In Quinn’s first start in 2008, he passed for 239 yards and two touchdowns, while throwing no interceptions.  That could be a sign that Quinn is ready to handle the big stage.  Furthermore, Quinn will benefit from having Braylon Edwards as his go-to receiver.

Why you may want to stay away from drafting Brady Quinn: Quinn has been the league for two years, but he has only appeared in four games.  Quinn is in a battle with Derek Anderson, and to date, a starter has not been named.

Bottom Line: The Browns figure to eventually name Quinn the starter.  However, with very limited experience, Quinn should be viewed as a backup fantasy quarterback at best.
