2009 Fantasy Football Player Profile-Greg Olsen

TE Greg Olsen, Chicago Bears

2008 Stats: 574 receiving yards, 5 TDs
Projected 2009 Stats: 909 receiving yards, 9 TDs
Projected Fantasy Round: 9th Round
Tight Ends to be picked ahead of Greg Olsen: Antonio Gates, Jason Witten, and Tony Gonzalez

Fantasy Outlook:

Why you should draft Greg Olsen: Olsen ended his 2008 campaign by hauling in at least five receptions in each of his final three games.  He also had a touchdown in both of his last two contests.  This season, Olsen should benefit from having Jay Cutler throwing him the football.

Why you may want to stay away from drafting Greg Olsen:  Last Season, Olsen was held to two receptions or fewer in six games.  In addition, Olsen five times was also held to 20 receiving yards or fewer.

Bottom Line: With Cutler behind Center, Olsen immediately vaults to an upper tier fantasy tight end. Consequently, he figures to be a steal in the middle-to-later rounds.
