QB Kurt Warner, Arizona Cardinals
2008 Stats: 4583 passing yards, 30 total TDs, 14 INTs
Projected 2009 Stats: 3555 passing yards, 28 total TDs, 16 INTs
Projected Fantasy Round: 4th Round
Quarterbacks to be picked ahead of Kurt Warner: Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Drew Brees
Fantasy Outlook:
Why you should draft Kurt Warner: Over the last two seasons, Warner has averaged 4000 passing yards and 29 total touchdowns. Last season, Warner eclipsed 300 passing yards on seven different occasions, and he threw for multiple scores in ten games.
Why you may want to stay away from drafting Kurt Warner: Warner will be 38 years old when the season begins, which means he is susceptible to injury. He does a decent job protecting the football, but he did lose seven fumbles and had two games where he threw for three interceptions in 2008.
Bottom Line: Warner was able to play in all 16 games in 2008, but prior to last year, he hadn’t played a full season since 2001. With that being said, Warner should still be viewed as a medum risk, high reward, No. 1 quarterback in fantasy.
