2009 Fantasy Football Player Profile-Mark Sanchez

QB Mark Sanchez, New York Jets

2008 Stats: N/A
Projected 2009 Stats:  2667 passing yards, 14 total TDs, 19 INTs
Projected Fantasy Round: Undrafted
Quarterbacks to be picked ahead of Mark Sanchez: Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, etc.

Fantasy Outlook:

Why you should draft Mark Sanchez:  All rookies struggle at times during their inaugural seasons, but Sanchez seems to be composed enough to not get too frustrated. In other words, Sanchez looks every bit the part of  being a franchise quarterback.  In addition, the Jets have a good running game, which should also take the pressure off a Sanchez.

Why you may want to stay away from drafting Mark Sanchez:  Sanchez will have to try and make it in a big market city that has terrible weather towards then end of the seasons.   That could be a recipe for disaster.   Furthermore, rookie signal callers always take a season if not more to adjust to the speed of the NFL.

Bottom Line: Sanchez could end up being a great NFL quarterback.  However, at this time he only warrants a look in fantasy in keeper leagues.
