2009 Fantasy Football Player Profile-Michael Crabtree
- 2 Comment
WR Michael Crabtree, San Francisco 49ers
2008 Stats: N/A
Projected 2009 Stats: 57 receptions, 893 receiving yards, 8 TDs
Projected Fantasy Round: 7th Round
Wide Receivers to be picked ahead of Michael Crabtree: Reggie Wayne, Terrell Owens, Randy Moss, etc.
Fantasy Outlook:
Why you should draft Michael Crabtree: Crabtree has been the most highly touted wide receiver coming out of the college draft since Larry Fitzgerald and Randy Moss. Crabtree is very elusive and can pluck the ball out of the air with relative ease. Crabtree showed how clutch of a receiver he was by making the touchdown grab in the closing seconds that knocked off their unbeaten rival (Texas Longhorns).
Why you may want to stay away from drafting Michael Crabtree: The only concern with Crabtree is his health. He injured his foot before the combine, and it remains to be seen if he can recover quickly from that injury. If he falls behind in training camp, he could struggle through most of his rookie season.
Bottom Line: Crabtree is a touchdown waiting to happen, and he has the making of a star receiver. He is ideal to snag in keeper leagues, but is also worth a look in the mid-to-later rounds in regular fantasy leagues.

I am in a fantasy football league for this year’s bowl game season. You draft only players that are in this year’s bowl games. I’m wondering if anyone has compiled rankings similar to the rankings people do for NFL fantasy players.

Most “experts” make a guestimate of how many yards, catches/rushes/attempts, touchdowns a guy’s gonna score, and add up the points based upon a default scoring system.
