Why you should draft Phillip Rivers: Over the past three seasons, Rivers has not missed a single game, and he has averaged 3516 passing yards, 26 touchdowns, versus just 11 interceptions in that span.  Last season, Rivers threw for at least three scores in seven games.  

Why you may want to stay away from drafting Phillip Rivers: In 2008, Rivers was held under 200 passing yards on four different occasions.  In addition, Rivers will cost fantasy owners a pick in one of the first few rounds, which would mean they would have to pass on some talented fantasy running backs in order to get him.

Bottom Line: Rivers is clearly among the upper echelon fantasy quarterbacks, and he would be a steal if he happened to slip into the fourth round.
