2009 NFL Free Agents-Dan Orlovsky

QB Dan Orlovsky, Houston Texans

How Orlovsky will help the Texans: Orlovsky will serve as the backup to Matt Schaub in Houston.  In that same role, he finished the 2008 campaign with 1616 passing yards and eight touchdown passes.  Last season, Orlovsky went from the low of running out of bounds in his own end zone, to the high of passing for 292 yards and two touchdowns in Week 9.

Fantasy Outlook:  Orlovsky will likely eventually see the field in Houston as Schaub has a tendency of getting injured.  It would not be out of the realm of possibility that Orlovsky would finish the 2009 season with 1885 passing yards and 10 touchdowns. However, he will likely also flirt with throwing double digit interceptions.
