2009 NFL Team Needs-Cleveland Browns

Wide Receiver: Let’s see…they have Donte’ Stallworth that has a weekly pass to the injury list, and Braylon Edwards who’s the discussion of numerous trade talks. Couple that with the fact that Michael Crabtree could fall right into their lap. In other words, the writing is on the wall that they are going to take a wideout early in the draft.
Running back: Jamal Lewis has clearly lost a step, and there really isn’t any real depth behind him. Look for the Browns to try and find the eventual replacement for Lewis in this year’s draft.
Outside Linebacker: The Browns are still in search for a dominant outside linebacker to help them succeed in their 3-4 scheme. They burned a pick on Kamerion Wimbley with the 13th pick overall in the 2006 draft, but he has yet to pan out. Cleveland certainly hopes their luck is much better in this upcoming draft.
Cornerback: Eric Wright is undersized and has been known to miss tackles. In addition, the Browns clearly lack depth at corner and figure to address the need at some point in the draft.
Offensive tackle: It seems as if every team needs help at offensive tackle, and the Browns are no exception. They could afford to draft someone that can solitify their right tackle spot.
Draft Candidates: WR Michael Crabtree, Texas Tech, WR Jeremy Maclin, Missouri, RB Donald Brown, Connecticut, RB Andre Brown, North Carolina State, LB Kevin Ellison, USC, LB Mortty Ivy, West Virginia, CB Brandon Underwood, Cincinnati, CB Asher Allen, Georgia, OT Dan Gay, Baylor, OT Fred Roland, Duke
