2009 NFL Team Needs-Jacksonville Jaguars

Offensive Tackle: If David Garrard has any chance to succeed, the Jags are going to have to find themselves a legitimate left tackle. Look for them to address this need very early in the draft.

Wide Receiver: Another year, another need for a wide receiver or two. This year, Jacksonville figures to devote a first day pick to try and solve their issues at wideout.

Running back: With Fred Taylor leaving town, the Jaguars need to find some quality depth behind Maurice Jones-Drew.  After all, this is the first year that Jones-Drew is being asked to be their featured back.

Safety: Jacksonville needs a lot of help in their secondary at both corner and safety.  However, safety appears to be more of a vital need. Look for them to filll this void early in the second day of the draft.

Defensive Tackle: Last year, the Jags struggled to stop the run. They will likely try to find a run-stopping tackle at some point in the draft.

Draft Candidates: OT Andre Smith, Alabama, OT Michael Oher,Ole Miss, WR Brian Robiskie, Ohio State WR Louis Murphy, Florida, RB Javon Ringer, Michigan State, RB Cedric Peerman, Virginia, S Otis Wiley, Michigan State, S C.J. Spillman, Marshall, DT Darryl Richard, Georgia Tech, DT John Gill, Northwestern
