2009 NFL Team Needs-Miami Dolphins

Guard: In 2008, the Dolphins had trouble running the ball between the tackles. Consequently, they will likely select a guard on the first day of the draft.

Wide Receiver: Bill Parcells doesn’t like to take wide receivers real early in drafts.  However, the position has been a work in progress for quite some time. Look for Miami to try and select a wideout that is talented enough to compete for a starting spot.

Defensive Tackle: In the 3-4 scheme, you can never have enough defensive tackles.   Parcells loves to find big, athletic tackles to anchor the line.

Linebacker: Miami has a clear need to add depth at inside linebacker. With that being said, they can afford to wait until day two to address this need.

Quarterback: Chad Pennington played terrific in 2008.  However, behind him are two young signal callers that have yet to make their mark in the NFL. If Parcells is not sold on Chad Henne and/or John Beck, he will likely look to find a replacement in the draft.

Draft Candidates: G Duke Robinson, Oklahoma, G Andy Levitre, Oregon State, WR Louis Murphy, Florida, WR Brandon Gibson, Washington State, DT Khalif Mitchell, East Carolina, DT Everette Pedescleaux, Northern Iowa, LB Scott McKillop, TCU, LB Frantz Joseph, Florida Atlantic, QB Mark Sanchez, USC, QB Jason Boltus, Hartwick
