2009 NFL Team Needs-New York Jets

Defensive End: The one thing you can count on with Rex Ryan at the helm is that he will bring pressure from all different areas of the field. It is essential in his defensive scheme that they bring in some playmaking ends.

Quarterback: Not too many people could pick a Jets’ quarterback out of a line up, and there doesn’t figure to be too many of the aforementioned quarterbacks in very many fantasy lineups either. The question won’t be if the Jets take a quarterback in the draft, the question will be how early will they do so.

Wide Receiver: Laveranues Coles has left town, which creates the need for a go-to receiver. Look for the Jets to address this need early in the draft.

Running back: The duo of  Thomas Jones and Leon Washington are formidable. However, Jones is not exactly getting any younger and Washington has earned his stripes on special teams. Therefore, the Jets will likely take a flier on another back late in the draft to give them some quality depth for the future.

Cornerback: Darrelle Revis has the left side locked down.  Now the Jets need to find another lock down corner to shut down the other side of the field.

Draft Candidates: DE Tyson Jackson, LSU, DE Robert Ayers, Tennessee, QB Mark Sanchez, USC, QB Josh Freeman, Kansas State, WR Brooks Foster, North Carolina, WR Mohamed Massaquoi, Georgia, RB Shonn Greene, Iowa, RB Marlon Lucky, Nebraska, CB Bradley Fletcher, Iowa, CB Donald Washington, Ohio State
