2009 NFL Team Needs-San Diego Chargers
Wide Receiver: Chris Chambers did not have a good season in 2008, and the Chargers could benefit from finding a speedy wideout that can draw attention away from Vincent Jackson.
Guard: San Diego will likely use this draft to try and improve their entire offensive line. They especially need help at the right guard spot.
Defensive End: Igor Olshansky left town, which creates the need for San Diego to add some depth at end.
Inside Linebacker: One of the areas their defense was lacking last season was having an inside linebacker that can defend the pass. Look for them to address this need as some point in the draft.
Quarterback: Phillip Rivers has supplanted himself as their franchise quarterback. However, there is very little depth behind him. San Diego may want to take a flier on a signal caller late in the draft.
Draft Candidates: WR Darrius Heyward-Bey, Maryland, WR Percy Harvin, Florida, G Louis Vasquez, Texas Tech, G Cornelius Lewis, Tennessee State, DE Paul Kruger, Utah, DE kyle Moore, USC, LB Darry Beckwith, LSU, LB Gerald McRath, Southern Miss, QB Pat White, West Virginia, QB John Parker Wilson, Alabama
