2009 NFL Team Needs-Tennessee Titans

Cornerback: Cortland Finnegan has the right side of the field locked down, but Nick Harper is an aging, less durable veteran that can’t be counted on to patrol the left side for an entire season. Consequently, the Titans will likely draft a corner early in the draft.

Defensive Tackle: With the departure of Albert Haynesworth, Tennessee must try to find a big body to anchor the middle of their defense. Of course, that is easier said that done.

Tight End: Alge Crumpler made little to no impact last season, and he isn’t exactly getting any younger. Look for the Titans to bring in a young pass-catching tight end to give them more depth at the position.

Center: Kevin Mawae is cemented in as the starter, but he is nearing the end of his contract. It might be time to look for his eventual replacement via the draft.

Punter: Craig Hentrich is nearing the end of his career. In fact, if the Titans were to draft a punter, Hentrich’s career would likely come to an end.

Draft Candidates: CB Malcolm Jenkins, Ohio State, CB Alphonso Smith, Wake Forest, DT, Alex Magee, Purdue, DT Demonte’ Bolden, Tennessee, TE Cameron Morrah, California, TE Kory Sperry, Colorado State, C Edwin Williams, Oklahoma, C Cecil Newton, Tennessee State, P Chris Miller, Ball State, P Justin Brantly, Texas A&M
