Why you should draft Adrian Peterson: For his career, Peterson is averaging just under 1,495 rushing yards and 14 total touchdowns per season.  In 2009, Peterson had five games where he had multiple scores, and another five contests where he hauled in at least four receptions.

Why you may want to stay away from drafting Adrian Peterson:  Last season, Peterson had four games where he was held under 60 rushing yards.  If Brett Favre does not return to play for Minnesota, you can expect defenses to be able to stack the box on nearly every down to stop the run.

Bottom Line: Peterson is clearly at the top, or near the top, of the fantasy running backs.   Do not expect him to available for you if you have the third overall pick or worse in your fantasy draft.
