The draft order you’re using is incorrect. Please go over it again. For example, Tampa picks 20th, and Dallas doesn’t have 2 choices.

    Jim,

The entire draft order has yet to be determined. There are some coin tosses to settle some of the draft places as well as the rest of the season to play out to decide where the playoff teams will end up selecting.

The Cowboys have their own pick, and the Cleveland Browns first round pick this year. The trade that landed the Browns Brady Quinn last year.

    Thank you for the comment.

Ur a moron. Why would the Chiefs take Gholston when

    A) They already have great defensive ends.

    B) If they were to draft a DE they would Chris Long because he is the top DE in the draft.

    C) They desperately need offensive line help.

hey kid…Dallas has 2 first round picks, get it straight before acting foolish. And Jared Allen is a UFA, that may play a part in the draft…ya think? Why call someone a moron? These mocks take time to put together and evolve.

    Mike,

The first mock is always the most difficult as the Juniors have not yet declared whether they will return to school or enter the NFL draft, not to mention, there are still a few draft places that need to be decided by a coin flip that hasn’t happened yet.

    Thank you for your comment!

are you even remotely serious???? the texans really need a threatening running back before they need a tackle!!!! the offensive line looked better this year, than ever before in thier history!!!! with sage at the helm, a strong back would be the only logical choice!!!! GO TEXANS!!!!!

    Chris,

I agree with you that the Texans need a running back. However, I think the trend is now for teams to wait until after the first round to draft a running back. Due in large part to the success of running backs like Marion Barber and Maurice Jones-Drew that were picked after the first round, and the fact that the shelf life of an average NFL running back in under four years.

That being said, it would not surprise me if the Texans did take a running back in the first round.

    Thank you for the comment!

I could also see the rams taking mcfadden @ #2. I could see detroit taking another wr in the 1st round, which would make, what, 9 wrs in the 1st round the last 10 years, or something like that? I could see talib going anywhere from pick 15-60.

No way the bears go DE, they have 3 that are already in the starting rotation plus the kid they spent a 2nd rounder on last year. A DE isnt gonna happen.

your draft has the Phins picking Jake Long irst and I totally agree. Most sites have Dorsey but Long will be the pick if they dont trade down.

Caldwell might be the Dolphins first WR pick.

I love the green bay selection. If we could get Campbell around the 30th pick overall that would upgrade our already good defensive line. Then hopefully we could get that good offensive gaurd from OSU Schnueing in round 2. I am sick of people giving us a running back in this years draft – I think they are crazy – I also believe that Brandon Jackson will pan out in the end. GO PACK!

If Malcolm Jenkins falls to the Lions they won’t be able to pick him fast enough. Personally I think that if he falls the Saints will take him, or Kenny Phillips, leaving the Lions with Mike Jenkins as another possibility.

I think that while Buffalo needs a WR, at #11 they’ll draft Keith Rivers or Dan Connor and go after a WR in the 2nd since this is such a deep class for them.

Dr. U, I’m a huge Saints fan, and completely agree that it will be the team’s top priority to upgrade at CB in the first round of this year’s draft after Jason David’s underwhelming season. What do you think makes Mike Jenkins of USF the pick over Malcolm Jenkins of OSU? Historically, Buckeye CB’s have been successful and Malcolm to me looks like the clear choice.

    Adam,

I think either Jenkins would give the Saints a much needed cover corner. I think they will take the best available player, so don’t surprised if they take a diffent position in the first round and grab a quality corner in the second or third round. Clearly, the cornerback position is a big need for the Saints, and I would expect them to address that through the draft and/or free agency.

    Thank you for the comment.

I believe the Ravens will not draft a QB this early and instead look for defensive help. They usually like trading for veteran QB’s and will do so again.

good doctor, i agree for the most part with your mock!..that said, i think the texans will take mendenhall with their pick..they desperately need a serviceable running back, and kubiack, like shanahan, knows it all starts with a solid ground game..your pick of stewart to the cowboys is spot on..though dallas dreams of trading up for macfadden, at the end of the day, the give-up of 2 number 1s plus mb3, and the expense, 1st player picked money, is simply not feasible..

also there is no way the rams take a running back, i’m addressing one of the posters on here!..they have s jax..nuff said..they need help on the o line, or else bulger will get shredded..plus, i look for st. louis to address their defense, after they fix, what has been to date, a constant jailbreak on the qb..

Dr U, there is no way that the Bears take a DE, they have two young ones in Bazuin and Mark Anderson, and Wale is still under contract, and Jerry Angelo plans to bring Alex Brown back, hopefully along with Lance Briggs.

The Bears will do one of two things. 1-Take an OT, either Sam Baker, Gosder Cherilus, Otah, whoever. They will because their QB was sacked 43 times last season….that and Cedric Benson needs help.

2-Draft Joe Flacco. Jerry Angelo, the GM is obsessed with this guy. If he gets scared and thinks Flacco will be taken before their second pick at 44, he will pull the trigger on him at 14. Guaranteed.

not sure when this list was updated but the pats picking LB James Laurinaitis is almost impossible seeing that he decided to return to college. I would like to see them take either vernon gholston or aqib talib
