Your honestly going to rate guys like Thomas Jones, Michael Turner, and Selvin Young above Jamal Lewis? He’s way to low at 38

    Milly,

Two years ago, Larry Johnson was pre-ranked as the No.1 running back in a lot of publications. Last season, Johnson had an injury-plagued year. I expect him to rebound this season.

With that being said, I do realize opposing defenses are going to stack the box to make their sup-par QBs beat them, but I still think Johnson will find a way to accumulate yards on the ground and by catching passes out of the backfield. Johnson is one of the better backs at catching screen passes and turning them into big gains. He also has a nose for the end zone.

You could turn out to be right that I have him ranked to high, but his value rushing, receiving, and scoring to me puts him in the top ten.

    Thank you for the comment.

    Alex,

I will be honest with you, Lewis is a very tough player to try to project. In 2003, he rushed for 2066 yards and had 14 TDs. Would anyone that season predict that he would only rush for 1006 and have half as many touchdowns the very next season?

In the last four seasons, Lewis has only been able to play an entire season one year. I have him ranked where I do, because I do not count on him playing 16 games. If he remain healthy, then you and I agree, he belongs ranked higher.

    Thank you for the comment.

Why is Carson Palmer ranked so low, he is one of the best QBs in the league today easily the 3rd best QB so why is it that he is ranked so low lower than even Darren McFadden? McFadden hasnt even played 1 NFL second this is no way realistic.

    Bubby,

The reason Palmer is ranked where he is has more to do with him being a quarterback versus McFadden (whom you mentioned) a running back. Obviously, running backs more often than not rack up more fantasy points than QBs. Tom Brady was a rare exception last season.

Think about it, who had more fantasy points last year, Palmer or Adrian Peterson? Peterson did, and by that same concept, McFadden is capable of doing so also. Not to mention, Palmer no longer has Henry as his No. 3 receiver, Chad Johnson as his No. 1 isn’t off to a happy or healthy start to 2008, and the Bengals are promising to be more dedicated to the run this year.

Bottom Line, Palmer is one of the most talented fantasy QBs in the game, that is why I have him only behind Brady, P. Manning, and Romo.

    Thank you for the comment.
