Pittsburgh Steelers Fan Club
Now that the Pittsburgh Steelers are back in the Super Bowl, I have already seen an abundance of Steelers fans crawl up out of the woodwork. They all claim that they have been a fan since the days of the "Steel Curtain" defense, yet they cannot name more than two players from that defense. On the other side of the ball, Terry Bradshaw, Franco Harris, and Lynn Swann are always mentioned, but conveniently these "die-hard fans" seem to draw a blank when asked to name a fourth member from that offense. Some of the aforementioned fans were not even alive to see the 1975 Pittsburgh Steelers play, but they speak as though they were. I understand that there are always going to be bandwagon fans, but do they realize that Pittsburgh hasn’t won the Super Bowl yet?
I do not want to hear from the bandwagon fans. However, if you are truly a Steelers fan and bleed the black and gold, then please post a comment and tell me why you think your team will beat the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XL.

The Steelers were so deep in the ’70s, they released a back named Preston Pearson. Frenchy Fuqua, who rushed for 200 yards in a game in 1971, was relegated to back-up duty
Ronnie Shanklin and Frank Lewis were Pro Bowl receivers that lost their jobs to Hall of Famers Swann and Stallworth. Remember Theo Bell and Jimmy Smith?
Offesnive Line? Ray Mansfield (replaced by Mike Webster), Gerry Mullins, Bruce Van Dyke, Sam Davis, Gordy Gravelle, Jon Kolb, Jim Clack, Ray Pinney, Steve Courson, Larry Brown (also a TE). Speaking of TE: Bennie Cunningham & Randy Grossman.
But, we’re just talking offense.
