Super Bowl Media Day
It is that time of year again…..Super Bowl Media Day. It is a time to hear all the players give their cliché responses to the media’s questions. We have heard them all….We cannot take their team lightly… We are just going to stick to our game plan…They have a team that plays well on both sides of the ball.
DR U decided to conduct his own interview and get the answers that we all really want to hear them say. The following interview is made up and in no way represents the real players. However, I have still elected to not use their names in order to keep it anonymous. I will just call one of them Steelers #36 and the other one Seahawks #37.
DR U- Mr. Seahawks #37, this could be Steelers #36’s last game, will you let him finish his career a Super Bowl champ?
Seahawks #37- Not a chance! He should have retired a long time ago. There are too many miles on the bus, and there is no way he can help his team win the big game. In fact, the Pittsburgh Steelers are not even going to want him back next year. He is totaled.
Steelers #36- Wasn’t this the same guy that was whining that his coach refused to let him go back in the game so he could try and win the rushing title?
Seahawks #37- Wasn’t he the one that choked and almost coughed up the game against the Indianapolis Colts?
Steelers #36- Wasn’t he the one that got knocked out of his first playoff game?
DR U- Mr. Steelers #36, I do not think this game is going to be won by either one of you. The ball will be in the hands of a quarterback at this end of this game. So which team has the better quarterback?
Steelers #36- What was the name of the Seattle Seahawks quarterback again? Doesn’t even matter, Big Ben is just too clutch. There is no better quarterback in this situation, except possibly Tom Brady. However, Brady is not a Seahawk.
Seahawks #37- There is no doubt that Ben Roethlisberger can play, but this game will be too big for him. He will try too hard. Matt Hasselbeck is the better quarterback.
DR U- Mr. Seahawks #37, what is your defense going to do stop Roethlisberger?
Seahawks #37- We are going to try to steal the glove that he uses on his throwing hand.
DR U- Mr Steelers #36, what will your defense do to stop Hasselbeck?
Steelers #36- With the bus running the ball, he will be lucky if there is enough time on the clock for him to even see the field in this game.
DR U- Ok fellas, I want you to tell me the final score and who wins.
Seahawks #37- Seattle-45 Pittsburgh-3
Steelers #36- Pittsbugh-56 Seattle-0
DR U- My guess is that the game will be a little closer than both of your predictions, but thanks for your fictitious time.
