Week 12 Fantasy Football Player Projections
- 0 Comments
QUARTERBACKS RECOMMENDED BY DR U
Byron Leftwich, Jacksonville Jaguars at Arizona Cardinals
In Week 11, Leftwich threw for 258 yards and 3 TDs in a win over the Tennessee Titans. Over the last two weeks, Arizona has allowed Lions QB Joey Harrington to throw 3 TDs and Rams QB Marc Bulger to throw for 2 TDs (Bulger knocked out of game early in second half). Look for Leftwich to at least throw for a couple TDs.
DR U has diagnosed Arizona with Passdefensephobia (the fear of stopping the pass).
Trent Green, Kansas City Chiefs Vs New England Patriots
Green passed for 220 yards and 3 TDs against the Houston Texans in Week 11. This year, the Patriots are handing out frequent flyer miles and allowing opposing quarterbacks to cover a lot of real estate, via the pass. Green’s fantasy numbers should take flight this week against New England.
The doc is out of the office for the holidays, but if you need a to see a clinic, watch Green put one on the Patriots secondary.
OTHER QUARTERBACKS RECOMMENDED BY DR U
Peyton Manning- Indianapolis Colts Vs Pittsburgh Steelers
Carson Palmer- Cincinnati Bengals Vs Baltimore Ravens
Drew Brees- San Diego Chargers at Washington Redskins
Kerry Collins- Oakland Raiders Vs Miami Dolphins
Tom Brady- New England Patriots at Kansas City Chiefs
QUARTERBACKS NOT RECOMMENDED BY DR U
Matt Hasselbeck, Seattle Seahawks Vs New York Giants
Over the last four weeks, the G-Men have allowed the opposing starting quarterback an average of only 152 yards passing and they yielded just one lone touchdown pass in that stint. It could be a long day for Hasselbeck against a formidable Giants defense.
The doc will leave the X-Ray lab open in case the Giants defense knock Hasselbeck out of the game.
Eli Manning, New York Giants at Seattle Seahawks
Over the last four games, Manning is averaging just 227 yards passing and just over 1 TD pass per game.
The doc might get sued for malpractice after giving out this prescription.
RUNNING BACKS RECOMMENDED BY DR U
Larry Johnson, Kansas City Chiefs Vs New England Patriots
Johnson is averaging 150 yards with four total rushing TDs in his last three games.
This week, Johnson is just the guy that can help your fantasy team get healthy.
Chris Brown, Tennessee Titans Vs San Francisco 49ers
Over his last three games, Brown has averaged 84 rushing yards and 1 TD per game. Brown should have no trouble surpassing that total against the 49ers lack-of-defense.
After an extensive examination, the doc was still unable to locate a defense in San Fran.
OTHER RUNNING BACKS RECOMMENEDED BY DR U
LaDanian Tomlinson- San Diego Chargers at Washington Redskins
Shaun Alexander- Seattle Seahawks Vs New York Giants
Domanick Davis- Houston Texans Vs St. Louis Rams
Edgerrin James- Indianapolis Colts Vs Pittsburgh Steelers
Tiki Barber- New York Giants at Seattle Seahawks
RUNNING BACKS NOT RECOMENNDED BY DR U
Willis McGahee, Buffalo Bills Vs Carolina Panthers
Over his last two games, McGahee is averaging just 53 yards per game with 0 TDs. This week, he has to try and run against a stingy Carolina defense.
The doc will write you a doctor’s note if you are looking for an excuse to get out of starting McGahee this week on your fantasy team.
Carnell Williams, Tampa bay Buccaneers Vs Chicago Bears
Williams did rush for 116 yards last week, but the previous four weeks he was averaging a mere 21 rushing yards per game.
The doc hopes Williams is not claustrophobic, because the Bears do not give up a whole lot of space.
WIDE RECEIVERS RECOMMENDED BY DR U
Hines Ward, Pittsburgh Steelers at Indianapolis Colts
Over the last two games, Ward is averaging 103 receiving yards per game. Not to mention, with teams always having to chase Indy on the scoreboard, the Colts often give up huge chunks of passing yards. In other words, look for Ward to have a huge game.
The X Rays of the Colts pass defense are in and the results were negative.
Kevin Curtis, St. Louis Rams at Houston Texans
Over his last three games, Curtis is averaging 85 receiving yards a game. In that same time frame, he also has 2 TDs. Curtis should be able to exploit the poor defense of the Texans.
No MRI needed here, the Texans pass defense is ailing.
OTHER RECEIVERS RECOMMENDED BY DR U
Chad Johnson- Cincinnati Bengals Vs Baltimore Ravens
Steve Smith- Carolina Panthers at Buffalo Bills
Torry Holt- St. Louis Rams at Houston Texans
Donald Driver- Green Bay Packers at Philadelphia Eagles
WIDE RECEIVERS NOT RECOMMENDED BY DR U
Donte’ Stallworth, New Orleans Saints at New York Jets
Over his last three games, Stallworth is averaging 1 TD per game. However in that same span, he is only averaging 55 yards per game. Not to mention, Stallworth is battling an injured shoulder.
The doc predicts that Stallworth will play despite the injury, but his stats will suffer.
POSSIBLE FREE AGENTS-PRESCRIBED BY DR U
WR Ernest Wilford, Jacksonville Jaguars
Over the last four games, Wilford is averaging 73 receiving yards per game and has 3 TDs. Wilford should put up some big numbers in Week 12, grab him if he is available!
RB J.J. Arrington, Arizona Cardinals
Arrington is just now starting to get carries. In Week 11, he had a career-high 11 carries. Just off potential alone, it is worth the gamble to pick him up.
