Week 14 NFL Injury Report

WEEK 14 PLAYERS CLEARED TO PLAY BY DR U

RB Marcel Shipp-Arizona Cardinals- PROBABLE (neck)-This week, Shipp has sailed through practices and should be able to play.
RB Rudi Johnson- Cincinnati Bengals- PROBABLE (knee)- Johnson has been sitting out of practice, but he will likely be able to start.
QB Trent Dilfer- Cleveland Browns- PROBABLE (knee)- Dilfer will likely be able to play, but rookie, Carlie Frye will likely get the nod as starter.
RB Reuben Droughns- Cleveland Browns- PROBABLE (knee)- Droughns has been practicing and expects to play.
RB Shawn Bryson- Detroit Lions- PROBABLE (foot)- Bryson has been practicing and is slated to be the starter with Kevin Jones being injured.
QB Brett Favre- Green Bay Packers- PROBABLE (hand/forearm)- There are not too many injuries that can keep Favre out of the game, let alone a number one draft pick.
RB Domanick Davis-Houston Texans- PROBABLE (knee)- Davis was held out of practice on Wednesday, but is expected to play.
PK Mike Vanderjagt- Indianapolis Colts- PROBABLE (calf/groin)- Vanderjagt is healthy enough to play.
RB Fred Taylor-Jacksonville Jaguars- PROBABLE (ankle)- Taylor is still recovering from the ankle injury, but has now been declared the starter for this week.
WR Marty Booker- Miami Dolphins- PROBABLE (calf)- Booker has been practicing and he was recently upgraded from questionable to probable, which normally means the player will play.
RB Michael Bennett- Minnesota Vikings- PROBABLE (ankle)- Bennett is trying to hold onto playing time, so he will play, despite the ankle injury.
RB Mewelde Moore-Minnesota Vikings- PROBABLE (quadriceps)- The injury is being described as mild, he should be ready to go.
QB Tom Brady- New England Patriots- PROBABLE (shoulder)- Brady will play despite having a shoulder injury.
RB Kevin Faulk-New England Patriots- PROBABLE (foot)- Faulk missed some of Thursday’s practice, so his injury will make him another Patriots game time decision.
RB Brandon Jacobs- New York Giants- PROBABLE (illness)- Jacobs has an undisclosed illness, but is expected to play.
WR Randy Moss- Oakland Raiders- PROBABLE (ribs/groin)- Moss practiced on Thursday and should be able to start.
RB Lamar Gordon-Philadelphia Eagles- PROBABLE (ankle)- Gordon is practicing and should be able to play and split carries with Ryan Moats and Reno Mahe.
PK Davis Akers-Philadelphia Eagles- PROBABLE (hamstring)- Akers will be the kicker for the Eagles, even though he is ailing with his hamstring injury.
QB Ben Roethlisberger- Pittsburgh Steelers- PROBABLE (thumb)-Roethlisberger might have a broken thumb, but he is expected to wear a protective splint and play through the pain.
RB LaDainian Tomlinson- San Diego Chargers-QUESTIONABLE (chest)- Tomlinson was held out of practice, but he says he will play, despite the chest injury.
RB Steven Jackson- St. Louis Rams-PROBABLE (ankle)- Jackson does have a minor ankle injury, but he appears healthy enough to play this week.
PK Matt Bryant- Tampa Bay Buccaneers- QUESTIONABLE (hamstring) -Bryant was able to practice ans is expected to handle all of the kicking duties this week.
QB Steve McNair- Tennessee Titans-QUESTIONABLE (back/ankle)- The injured McNair practiced some on Friday and is expected to play.
WR Drew Bennett-Tennessee Titans- QUESTIONABLE (knee)- Bennett has been practicing, and his knee injury is not expected to keep him out this week.
WR Santana Moss-Washington Redskins- PROBABLE (hamstring)- Moss practiced on Friday and appears to be able to play, despite nuring an injured hamstring.

WEEK 14 GAME TIME DECISIONS

PK Neil Rackers- Arizona Cardinals-QUESTIONABLE (calf)- Rackers did not practice on Thursday, but may be able to work on some kicking drills on Friday.
RB Cedric Benson- Chicago Bears- DOUBTFUL (knee)- Benson has been held out of practice this week and is not expected to play.
TE Bubba Franks-Green Bay Packers- DOUBTFUL (neck/back)- Franks will likely miss this week and could miss extended time with his neck injury.
WR Jabar Gaffney- Houston Texans- QUESTIONABLE (ankle)- Gaffney has returned to practice and should be able to play, despite the ankle injury.
RB Corey Dillon-New England Patriots- PROBABLE (calf)- Dillon missed a portion of practice on Thursday and will be a game time decision.
RB Curtis Martin- New York Jets- PROBABLE (knee)- Martin could miss his first game in seven years. He also is considering have sugery soon, which would make him miss the remainder for the season.
RB Kevan Barlow- San Francisco 49ers- QUESTIONABLE (knee)- It appears that Barlow will be able to play, but it has not been determined if he will be the starter.
WR Darrell Jackson- Seattle Seahawks-QUESTIONABLE (knee)- Jackson was not able to practice Thursday, and his status will not be determined until right before game time.
RB Chris Brown-Tennessee Titans -QUESTIONABLE (ankle)- Brown has been able to practice with his ankle injury and is expected to play.

WEEK 14 PLAYERS DECLARED OUT BY DR U

QB Byron Leftwich-Jacksonville Jaguars-OUT (ankle)- Leftwich is still having trouble putting weight on his ankle and could end up missing the rest of the season.
RB Derrick Blaylock- New York Jets DOUBTFUL (ankle)- Blaylock has not been able to practice and but has bee declared as out for Week 14.
QB Marc Bulger-St. Louis Rams-OUT (shoulder)- Bulger did not practice this week and his shoulder injury will keep him out for Week 14.
QB Jay Fiedler-New York Jets-OUT (shoulder)- Fiedler is having surgery on his shoulder and is out for the year.
